Best Friends
Best friends last forever they do
While best friends also are always true
They don’t lie and they don’t hate
They usually aren’t even late
They keep you out of trouble and look after you
Lots of people---if they have best friends---are very few
They stick up for you when you’ve been bad
They cheer you up and make you glad
They talk to you when you need to vent
God grants you those ones, they’ve been sent
They spend the night when you’re alone
They walk you to your house when you have to go home
They call you on the telephone
When your scared and all alone
They don’t talk bad behind your back
Because people who do that are very whack
They call you up and invite you to a party
They call you before school to make sure your not tardy
They invite you out to hang with friends
Sometimes best friends even make amends
They cry with you, they smile with you
They could be named, Pam, Jennifer, or Lou
They could be males or females, animals, or fish, too
They don’t fight and usually don’t disagree
They don’t make you beg or plea
They invite you out to eat some food
Their always around to cheer up your mood
Although my best friend is very far
He is my brightest shining star
I talk to him almost everyday
I love him in virtually every way
Together soon we will be
Next year we’ll be putting up our first Christmas Tree
We’ll work out together, I know it
Because my shining star has finally become lit
