Best Birthday Card Ever
The ingenious fluffy baby bunny sat at the kitchen table.
She liked the feel of the slick plastic cloth.
It had pink roses, and it smelled of lemon.
Someone must have spilled something sweet.
Her daddy’s birthday card must be marvelous this year.
Something over-the-top wonderful, something memorable.
She choose her words carefully, taking her time with each careful dash.
Tied his card to a ribbon and watched it float to his home in heaven.
