Best Before

Out of kilter and out of time, Born in the 40's and now in his prime, Saddened by a world that's passed him by, Outdated, outmoded and now not so spry, Looking for comfort but there's none to be had, Evenings are spent all alone in his 'pad', Talking to walls that don't answer back, Eyes, once so lively, now fade to black.
