Beneath Wreck and Stone

So far down this rabbit hole
at the bottom of a well enclosed
I bet I could find some love down here
but all I see is the grave of a rose

But I guess I'm not looking enough
in this dark little void
all I come out with
is being alone and annoyed

Somewhere down here
in this forgotten pit
is the one I loved before
buried under time unlit

Somewhere down here
among the rubble and wreck
beats the heart of my lost soul
but hidden under rhyme and fret

I found it once one day
between a truth and a lie
but it went away when she said
so long and goodbye
