Beneath the Moon

Beneath the moon, I see more than your presence before me,
Mesmerized by a sparkle in those eyes causes my heart to ambush more than a couple of lost beats,
Self-inflicted pain I cause myself by looking up to catch my breath as well as to see what's igniting those sparks in those lovely eyes,
I look up to catch sight of a twinkle yet there's not a single star in sight,
How entranced I must've been to not recognize my surroundings,
Again I can inhale and exhale,
As if your eyes hypnotized me I find my eyes locked on yours again,
You seem to be getting brighter with only the moon out,
I look up to verify this notion as I'm correct there's only the moon out,
Bright as you are this very night you bring light to the moon,
I smile glistening with you in tow beneath the moon
