Beneath the Ash

this rain pours over me
will the sun ever be?
cloudy eyes just can't see

sapphire patches peek through
this mask of ashen hue
that hides the grains of blue

Thank you Anne-Lise, we are way above normal for rain and every week it seems most days are rainy or cloudy with little burst of sun here or there but never a string of sunny days... though we have been lucky and haven't had much snow... hugs

Thank you Tom...I am thankful we haven't had much snow but at the end of the year we were already way above normal rain fall...I think we reached normal before june even hit but the pattern still seems to be with us... i'm with you on the summer...it can never get here quick enough...
