Beloved Feline

Beloved Feline Like a faux fur cape you lie, Splayed out over your mountain top, the couch, on high. A frigid winter dawn peers through the window, And ever so slowly, one jade green eye opens. Studying a frozen branch that moves. Oh, heavenly calico,how wise you are! With zero interest in the news, Waiting only for the beauty of nighttime, And the glory of the stars' hues.
