Beloved Feline

Beloved Feline

Like a faux fur cape you lie,
Splayed out over your mountain top,
the couch, on high.
A frigid winter dawn peers through
the window,
And ever so slowly, one jade green eye
opens.
Studying a frozen branch that moves.
Oh, heavenly calico, how wise you are!
With zero interest in the news,
Waiting only for the beauty of nighttime,
And the glory of the stars' hues.

Cat's do make good pets as they seem to look after themselves, unlike dogs having to take them out for walks Regardless of the weather lol.

Righto, John! That is so true! I had two dofs in my life in my teens and very attached to them! Both were fun to play with, even in Chicago’s winter snow. Cats are more mellow. But I still love dogs.. Blessings, Pangie

This is beautiful Panagiota - I can see you are a true romantic - I have also written a poem on Felines, but not from a romantic stance. Well penned. Poetry hugs, Jennifer.
