Believe It Or Not

Ripley’s 2021 - raven atop the burial of masks

12/29/2020

I.

Once upon a midnight dreary,
while I pondered weak and weary…
              Quoth the raven, “Nevermore.”

Edgar Allan Poe The Raven

II.

Robert Ripley would travel the world looking for oddities.
2020 was surely one he wouldn’t pass up.
The world came to the proverbial him, instead.

Hi Kim, with a write like this you shine talent from head to toe - what a dreadful year we have had and who would have imagined it would be so. Hope 2021 brings all your wishes and dreams to fruition. You are a wonderful poetry friend Kim. Hugs and blessings. Jennifer.

Interesting work. I went a museum once that held some of Ripley's believe it or not. Thanks for the visit to my page. I really like that picture. Sara

I wanted to when I was a kid but I didn’t go until I was all grown. The one in San Francisco at Fisherman’s Wharf.

It will always be hard for me to believe that something like this could cripple an entire planet.
