Being Seventeen and All of That

I really feel like I am 17 years old again, seriously
to live as a teenager in this age
with all the challenges that it brings
which is all part of being on the world's stage

But do I really want to be seventeen again
faced with relationships that's no easy task
questioning oneself about our looks or lack
thinking maybe should get a mask

Questions on where do I fit in
can't relate to family peers or home
employment chances now get harder
if no degrees then where can I roam

Peer pressure makes it difficult to cope
wondering how to get out and away
so many pressures as a teenager
shows how easy it's to stray

These are reasons not to want
to be a teenager all over again
better to be at this end of age range
having time to enjoy a walk in the glen
