Being Led By My Horse

Taking a walk with my horse along this road which is the pathway trying to look ahead to no avail wondering will this be my day Gazing up on high seeing the treetops makes me think there's no limit imaging what my possibilities can be trying to keep faith every minute My horse stepped always ahead leading me in its every step as if she knew exactly what to do her looks showed 'your book I've read' The flowers so pretty at the edge makes up for the trees looking so bare the woodland being our guard of honour feel so special for a sight so rare Being led by my horse what an awesome treat a graceful beast indeed privileged indeed us to meet ( I have written this pondering a painting called 'The Walk', where the horse leads its lady owner through a pathway with woodland and flowers on each side of the path.)

Horses are among my favourite animals - they have more 'horse sense' than most. Loved this poem as I can easily visualise the scene through your description.
