Being Blind To Colour

During my early teens found it out what did I find out? I colour blind and so I am still same today can't name some colours so hard to find But I can still be amazed seeing all the magnificent colours there is so many types of blue to gaze upon love all the bright that don't want to miss Love red that's so real deep so shining on lovely lipstick yellow also so very startling it's very bright that want to pick Wearing brown makes me feel good winter colouring effects viewing wood colours aplenty lighten up my mood

They test me every year for color blindness for my job, luckily I pass with ease! I cannot imagine life without all the beauty of colors. This piece made me think. I like that!

Wow Gordon my son has red green deficiency and can't tell those colors and if colors are all together he cant see purpled or any color that is directly from the red green families! Lovely write but my son when asked he can't describe the colors to me! Y dad was color blind and the dr said I carry the gene and passed it to my son! Wonderful!;)

Thanks Brenda, glad it wowed you and that's most interesting that your son has this problem with colours. My main problem is with green and Brown as they both look the same, also my first job was apprentice electrician so you guess the problems that caused. Have a great weekend, thanks for replying, your dear friend, Gordon

Hello Gordon McConnell, Gordon you andi have the same problem. i have trouble with colors. I have to ask someone - a shopper what color is this? Then i am told this is red, light grey etc. I stick with colors i can recognize. How about you? Have a nice day my friend.

Thanks Darlene, Glad you liked it and nice to know someone else shares the same problem, in fact, my first job was an apprentice electrician so you can guess the problems it caused consequently I had to leave it. I try to stick to what I know or my wife tells me what colour it is. Have a great weekend, Gordon

I guess as someone who doesn't suffer from this it is difficult to comprehend how it must be to see or not see colours in a different light. fascinating poem Gordon:-) hugs Jan xx
