Being a Friend

I have a friend who is very unique
For a long time I thought she was a freak,

Everyone has strange ideas and ways they like
It's not for us to judge we leave that to the psychs,

As time went by I tried to understand who this person was
The more I learned about them I realized what caused all the buzz,

I learned this person was very caring and had a big heart
This person you could say was very smart,

Everyday is a trial on learning new experiences to say the least
But, the more I learn I am filled with peace.

Michelle: Had you not referred to your friend as a she, I would have thought we shared the same friend, Jesus. :o) He's all the things you shared except being a girl. :o) Thanks for sharing your insight into friendship. oldbuck
