Behold the Temple

"Behold! The Temple!"

Behold! The Temple! on sacred ground,
Where those who worship gather 'round.
Behold! Your synagogues, mosques, and churches,
Where faithful souls kneel on pews and perches
To sing Hallelujah! Give worship and praise;
Where scripts are read, eyes upward gaze.
Bibles, Qurans, opened for solemn reference,
A Holy Place of prayers to God with deference.

Behold! The Temple! where devout congregate
For fellowship and Love to demonstrate
Their faithfulness from where faith starts,
Where, to serve God, are the humble hearts.
As souls lavish on praise in script and song,
In God's Presence, they will do no wrong.
All for God, what a show upon the sacred stage
To please our Lord, thy God, from every age.

The sermon closes with a reminding review
Of God's Word of Truth made fresh and new.
The Service ends, the congregation disperses,
Still on their lips and tongues, Holy Verses.
There's hellos, goodbyes, so longs until...
And fresh in hearts and minds, His Word, still.
Events upcoming among the faithful souls
Are chatted about, the roles and goals.

As all depart and leave the Holy Place,
Being freshly bathed in His Holy Grace,
Out into the world they venture again,
Back to daily life, wiser women and men.
How long will it take; how many will heed,
Before they've forgotten, will spread His Seed?
Life as usual returns to norm with worldly woes
And scattered throughout are soulless foes.

Behold! The Temple! but now, left behind,
Where His Love and Glory brought peace of mind;
Where souls gathered on Holy Ground
To sing His Praises to ensure they're Heaven bound.
With The Temple distant, how many will know
Of The Temple within; will confess to and show?
All God's Love resides inside each humble heart,
As He journeys through life with us, to finish from start.

Behold! The Temple! As we walk through life;
Through joy and pain, success and strife,
God walks with us to carry our burdens,
To rejoice in our joys, share our guerdons.
Behold! The Temple! His Temple Divine!
Behold! The Temple! Is yours and mine,
If within our hearts, we of Him, request,
To Be, to Live, forever as our Holy Guest!
Behold! The Temple! a structure not,
But rather in hearts where God's ne'er forgot!
Behold! The Temple! The Sacred Place
Within all hearts humbled by God's Love and Grace.
Amen. Ameen.

Thank you, Arturo. I truly believe we do not need to go to a 'place of worship', since the place of worship is within. Our faith is always tested. It's pretty sad though people can't express kindness in a structural place of worship. All the best to you as well. :) ~ Artsie
