Behind Closed Eyes

“Behind Closed Eyes”
Behind closed eyes is where we really see
Connecting us to silence and all eternity

I know these two hearts will find the power within
Every morning on the rocks our new life will begin

Instead of asking of the source the source speaks back to us
In this great silence we must put all our trust

All hardships will be gone and clear become our minds
For these are the real things and the love that one finds

As I open my eyes to the one I truly love
Nothing can seem to hurt me and I fly like a dove

Lost in blue eyes that lead right to Gods heart
Hope and compassion is how this day will start

As the sun washes the sky and the water changes hue
I cherish every moment that God gives me with you

Speckles of birds stream across the morning sky
Suddenly I know the secret and feel like I can fly

All of these teachings will surely make us wise
I can’t tell you the glory I see behind closed eyes
