Behind

I’m trapped between the doors of deceit and running away
from despair
I’m trying to laugh away my anger and instead of coughing, breathe
fresh air

Behind the walls of discomfort I put a mask on for the outside world
but I’m in pain
and inside I’m dying slowly catching my tear drops that
fall like rain

I appear to be stronger outside like the picket fences that’s
built for safety
But anytime I’m behind it the heart always seems to break
Me! Tell me how can I escape from thee?

I hide behind tears because it’s the only thing I know I’ve
Cried for so long
I always run away when something goes wrong
I hide behind a song

And If somebody loves you, wont they always
love you?
Or do they hide behind what’s
True?

BEHIND ME IS INNOCENT LOVE!
