Beginning Again
There I go again,
hiding myself away,
afraid to be who I am,
and say what I want to say.
How did I slip back here,
full of insecurity?
Trying to fulfill the expectations
I thought others had of me.
"Keep the focus on yourself."
Is my reminder through the day.
I pray to God for strength,
and guidance along the way.
I am restored to sanity,
His serenity I feel,
for living in the moment,
helps my tender heart to heal.
