The Beggars Legislation

The beggars dream standing up right
On the next street corner
Knowing how things ought to be
Knowing safe places to sleep and eat
A nation of their own
A kingdom unto themselves
Taxing the merciful in denominations of
Street-smart wealth
In turn praying for the souls of all those
Who owe it all to someone else
