Beggar Man's Town
Here I am sitting on the ground looking all around
Here I am sitting on the ground extending my empty cup
and hoping that I could get some luck
The afternoon is far gone and everyone must be warned
East, West, North and South are swirling all about
Here am I sitting on the ground staring without a frown
Everyone one passed and gaze upon me thinking that I am crazy
They are taking advantage of me and abusing my dignity
Day after day I wander about looking for a decent house
Wondering what will happen next when I get the next pay check
I have always play it cool and often follow the golden rule
But they play me for a fool driving around in intimidating trucks
While I am staring at their buldging guts
Strange guys driving down the street they are coming from the East
Christmas is coming to town and everyone will be bound
I am not a Christmas freak and there is nothing to complete
No Christmas shopping, no Christmas puddings no red stocking
I will feed the birds with sunflower seeds and get rid of the over grown weeds
I will purge the troublemakers from the street and break the devils feet
Signature cars roaming around and their bosses are feeling the heat
Everyone is raising their guns waiting for the big day to come
When everything will be done and we can have real fun
Here I am sitting on the ground waiting for the change to come
Everyone is distancing themselves from me
and I cannot find a honest company
My ideology is not right and everyday I have to put up a terrible fight
I scream, and I seduced her in the night yet I am still standing tall
No pigeons , no rum, no honey , no bun I am waiting
To give it back to you in the most dignified and honest mood
Three is the charm so don't be alarmed mysterious things happen in the storm
so keep your eyes on the road and be bold you will never grow old
Here I am sitting on the ground wondering which way to go
Suddenly ladybug with its gold and brown spots crawl upon my chest
I haven't seen one in ages and I wonder deeply about the stages
It crawl slowly upon my chest as if it has something to tell me
Suddenly the sun came out and shine brightly upon me keeping my company
I was about to leave another ladybug with the same color flew in my chest forcing me to take a deep breath
Here I am sitting on the ground trying to break even in this festive season
Extending my cup in beggar man's town and alas the golden brown ladybug brought my long awaited luck.
