Before You Kiss Me By Ron Porter

Before you kiss me,? ?be sure what you seek
I offer neither fantasy nor fairy-tale
Love is not intended for the weak

Often i present as obtuse and oblique;
uncharted waters i am apt to sail,
before you kiss me be sure what you seek

Oft the world seems harsh and bleak,
as storm and fury assault and assail.
Love is not intended for the weak

Actions matter,? ?not pretty words we speak.
Can you persist should we lose the trail??
Before you kiss me,? ?be sure what you seek

Persevering alone is the path to the peak;
faith does not count losses same as fail.
Before you kiss me,? ?be sure what you seek.
Love is not intended for the weak.
