Before You Go

one last time 
          before you go, 
                    bless me 
                              with your shadow,
                                        leaving a cold ghost. 
                                                  hold my hand 
                                                            so tight... 

until the
          dark falls
                    and tears blur 
                              the soft light, 
                                        and wash over me
                                                  with final quiet breath.
                                                            stay!... 

the dawn is too soon.
