Before the Letters Form

I want the dripping edge
of my words
to be raw,
like wind in a hurricane
like creation’s power before it acted
like anger before attack
or lust before love
Intuition before reason
Samson before Delilah
Meaning before definition
Epiphany,
—before the letters form

This is very good, but I'm not sure you are writing Ballads, may want to check under 'Forms.' I like the meaning in this, the imagery is most effective and dramatic. It is almost any writers wish which you effectively convey - I know I have felt this way, a desire for my pen to burn like that ... CayCay

Thanks Cay Cay, and you're right ... I'm really not writing ballads. I usually don't typecast or put my writing into a tight box so to be consistent, I just keep picking 'ballads.' I'll take a look at forms. Thanks again,
