Before I Can Cry

Before I Can Cry

My heart is breaking deep inside,
Some how I must try to stem this tide.
My heart has been told many a lie,
I have to ease the pain, before I can cry.

You left me this morning; you couldn’t take any more,
I have lost my love, and it’s hard to ignore.
I never had a chance to even say good-bye,
I have to clear my head, before I can cry.

My nights find me gazing up at the stars,
My aching heart is covered with many scars.
Some how our love has gone completely awry,
I need to accept this, before I can cry.

You said you loved me right from the start,
If you did, why do I have a broken heart?
You are gone and I don’t know why.
I need to get over you, before I can cry.

I don't know Anne-Lise, but if it turned out to be a Princess I would be, as a male, much happier Thanks for your comments, your friend Lynn.
