Before and After Ten

5/10/15 Ever since way back when Jumping out of bed The skies overhead colored red I continue to tread Even when my legs feel like lead Before and after ten Gotta get the bread And keep family fed Until I'm dead You heard what I said But lied about it instead And that was the end Without having to budge or bend While I sped Making sure not to lose my head Even when I bled I didn't spend Much time trying to mend Since there still was so much to comprehend I then polished a gem And picked up the pen yet again Before increasing the rpm By: Dalton Ogletree
