Before and After Ten
5/10/15
Ever since way back when
Jumping out of bed
The skies overhead colored red
I continue to tread
Even when my legs feel like lead
Before and after ten
Gotta get the bread
And keep family fed
Until I'm dead
You heard what I said
But lied about it instead
And that was the end
Without having to budge or bend
While I sped
Making sure not to lose my head
Even when I bled
I didn't spend
Much time trying to mend
Since there still was so much to comprehend
I then polished a gem
And picked up the pen yet again
Before increasing the rpm
