Got the wind in my hair, the sun overhead
Life’s pretty good, nothing misread
Sounds of the surf fill my ears
Been looking for you all these years
In my thoughts I knew when it was right
You'd come out of nowhere and into my life
You make me smile every day and so...
When I’m with you I want you to know
When I’m with you it all makes sense
My heart is full, there’s no pretense
I’ve been waiting for you but didn't know it
I saw your face, I felt your heart, but I couldn’t show it
I dreamt of how we met, and though it was late
You walked around a corner as though it was fate
We’ll both knew at once, though it seemed
A thought, a hope, a kind of dream
If I close my eyes you take me there
As I look at you I cant help but stare
I swim in the love I see in your eyes
I know your God’s gift and my prize
I’ve been waiting for you but didn't know it
I saw your face, I felt your heart, but I couldn’t show it
The south of France or Malibu
A beach is where I long to be with you
A walk on the sand holding your hand
It feels good just to be your man
People around, lots of chatter
I’m lost in your eyes, it doesn’t matter
Haut Couture or rue Antibes sales
Love being with you for three-hour meals
I’ve been waiting for you but didn't know it
I saw your face, I felt your heart, but I couldn’t show it
I thank the stars above
For leading me to your light your love
I knew someday I’d find a soul that some call mate
Didn’t know when, left it to fate

Now I just close my eyes and I know it’s right
