Beeline
considering the bumblebee
it suddenly occurs to me
in all life's grand design of things-
a most absurd recipient of wings
clearly marked,a creature doomed-
to fumbling from bloom to bloom
her sunny stripes opposed to black
one silly sally hacky sack
a welcome sight i must admit
when old man winter's done his bit
and springtime stirs a sleepy head
to see her tumbling out of bed
and suddenly it occurs to me
her purpose more importantly
flowers, flowers for the world to see
delivered by...the bumblebee!
