Bedtime Stories
Growing up so gullible,
Thinking lullabies were true
Oh how gullible we must be
Failing to see that fairytales are never true
Oh how gullible we must be,
To have actually believed in you
True love does not exist
A princess will never kiss a frog
Oh how gullible we must be,
To actually believe,
That once a person dies,
They can still comeback tomorrow
Oh how gullible we must be
Thinking people can be trusted
You can never fully count on others
You’ll even be letdown by yourself
Oh how gullible we must be,
When we fail to see,
There are no happy endings
Life is a Shakespearean tragedy,
Everybody dies in the end
Bedtime stories are deceptions
Just one giant scam
Fairytales are nothing more
Than false hopes at best
