Bedtime
Means you fall on your bed like a pile of fresh snow,
There's nothing to do and nowhere to go.
It's a quiet as a church, when all heads are bowed.
And no so-called friend will humiliate you or make you
Feel cowed.
This is the best time to recall those dearest to you.
They won't be here forever, so hopefully you called a few.
You always thank God who gave you another day.
Unless you don't believe, He's just in your way.
This is the time for pleasant thoughts please?
Or you may find yourself in an insomniatic freeze.
Your freshly renewed pillow!
Ah, now that's the best for it cradles your head like
soft furs of a willow!
