i'm sorry
that i couldn't give you
the friendship you wanted
i'm sorry
that you feel as if
i wasn't good enough
to be your friend
i'm sorry
that you felt the need
to lie to me
and break the trust
that only you got from me
i'm sorry
that you couldn't handle
that certain things upset me
and i asked you to cease doing them
most of all
i'm sorry
that i let you become so important
to me
