Because the stars are burning bright
Because the dawn arose anew –
I’m looking for undying light
Of promised love I really do.
I’m looking for beloved eyes
The lips those whisper wanted words
I wish to see that sadness dies
And bears my new and happy thoughts.
I wait for you, but who you are
How can I find your sweetest sight?
And maybe I am not so far
And distant stars are burning bright.
