Because of You I Am

You’ve allowed me life and delivered me strong. You highlight my path to where I belong. You have cleansed my soul with your vitalizing blood. I’ll never deserve your grace and love. For all you have given there is nothing more that I need. For you I will fight, for you I will bleed. When the demons march from the pits of hell. I’ll be waiting right here for your order to tell. By light of day or the dark set of night. I’ll go for the head so it can no longer bite. Sure-footed and quick, graceful and strong. I’ll prove my faith for with you I belong. My soul I devote and lay at your feet. I’ll be swift and true with every beat. I kneel before you, the creator of man. I’m forever grateful, because of you I am.

What a wonderful writer of bible-based poems, you are! I’ll go for the head! And yet it is in humbleness that you know who YOUR leader is!

"When the demons march from the pits of hell." - it seems like one of them is already here. Timely this one!
