Tears pour like rain
Flooding the drains
So many wait
Love's never late
No more scoldings
No more smiles fling

Just see the crowds
Hearts speak so loud
Death's final date
Is never late
No more lectures
To mend fractures

Because of you
A nation queues
Our hearts feel sad
You made us glad
No more Kuan Yew
To care for you

You are no more
From these fine shores
One last farewell
We queue to tell
Who can forget
That unpaid debt?

Each man right here
With solemn tears
This long, long wait
To reach that gate
No more debate
To instigate

Round twist and turn
Bear sun tan burn
Tears ooze and flow
Teary eyes know
No one like you
To match your cues

You're the reason
For rich seasons
Yes we all come
To square the sum
To one we owe
Here at the door
