Because of You
you made me who i am today
sometimes i cant find the words to say
or even utter a thank you
and even though you may not know it
i know sometimes i may not show it
i owe a lot to you
you taught me confidence and love
for my inner and outer self
you told me i was handsome
you showed me i had more to offer the world
then what i could even imagine
you broadened my horizons
you opened my eyes to a new me
an told me how love my self
just for who i was and no one else
you said i didn't have to pretend
that i was good enough and not just that
but great enough
you made me hold my high
and search for those brighter days
you said i deserved them
and when my heart was shattered into a million pieces
you were always there to put it back together
you listened to me
you felt every tear i cried
and you identified
you were holding my hand
whenever i felt lost and alone
you never abandon me
you made me laugh
when all i felt like doing was crying
you made my heart smile
you brought the best out of me by just being there
and for that i thank you
for that i love you
