Beauty More Than Skin Deep

Tell me something you like about me
Is it something I can't see
You tell me beauty is more than skin deep
So why do these harsh words I keep
Telling myself I am weak
As I lay again and cry myself to sleep
They say we are not the words others say
But you find they have a tendency to stay
Thriving off your pain
Till it drives you nearly insane
Don't let others rent space in your mind
Just know your heart is kind
Your so much more than what people say
Your amazing in all your imperfect ways
Each moment your heart beats means there's a reason
That your pain won't last all season
That you will be stronger
It just means it will take you a little longer
