Beauty Adored

Beauty adored
But what for
Starved and withered
Like rose petals
On the floor
Not scarlet and vibant
Like when in a vase
Demanding attention
Like during the chase
Beauty it fades
Passes with time
Like these blackened petals
Once red like wine
Love conquers all
Until it grows sour
From living a lie
Being a coward
Love that's unwanted
Makes a heart grow cold
Not anticipating a future
Or wanting to grow old
This time is not wasted
Let's not pretend
Because beauty adored
Remains until the end

When love fades, it is a bitter pill, and to be all alone with no one to reminisce with. A sad one unless hope is found.
