Beauty

The Spring sun's warming rays surround me
Swirling breezes caress me softly
Gently the river kisses the stones at my feet
Nature's wooden warriors line the shore
Standing guard over this hidden treasure

Playful squirrels, their child-like charges
Scurrying busily to and fro
Amidst the enchanting concert
Beautifully borne by Earth's winged wonders

This tranquil serenity embraces me
Captures me
Holds me

Its beauty untouched
Unspoiled
Unsurpassed

Except for the lover at my side.
