Beautiful Mum
Mum,
you are beautiful as the crystal moon,
pure as taste of water,
radiant as candle light,
your voice, a sound in the guzzling wind.
Your love endless. and omnipresent
You are my beacon in a stormy night,
A shelter from the scorching sun.
My aspiration, the reason for my being.
A golden thread that binds my broken soul.
You die a hundred deaths seeing my heartache,
yet you smile for me.
You can’t fool me, I hear your soul cry,
remember, I was once a part of you.
I'd be happy if I was half the woman you are,
but I want to be the whole mother you are.
