Beaulah Land

When I was young, time was my friend,
But as it marches on and we get closer to the end.

We realize all that was wasted throughout the years,
And that it can’t be replaced but only revered.

But as long as we are able to draw a mortal breath,
We need to celebrate life and not fear death.

Birth, life, and death, they all walk hand and hand,
Each we struggle with on our way to reach a place that has been called Beaulah Land.

As the drum beat hastens us to pick up the pace,
We hurry through time to reach the end of this race.

Not realizing or even knowing what is behind that door,
We just pray it’s the right one we are headed for.

Once that choice has been made there is no turning back
And that door swings open you’ll find out then with whom you’ve made your pact.

The life you lead while you’re on this earth,
You’ll be accountable for and I don’t mean the money you’re worth.

It’s your spiritual beliefs that will stand you apart,
The love of Jesus and the kindness you have in your heart.

So stay in the word and let it be your guide,
I hope to see you there on Beaulah side!
