Bear Witness With Your Presence

Bear witness with your presence, to when the gifted hatchlings fly, Outstretched wings glide, though withering, The seasons have overtaken me, Tis no time to say goodbye, Listen to the thunder, it,s clapping, imploring from way up high, Bear witness with your presence, to when the gifted hatchlings fly, In the daytime I've built up my aerie, commenced my hunting in the night, The seasons have overtaken me, Tis no time to say goodbye, Swooped down upon my prey, snatched them with my talons when I was spry, Bear witness with your presence, to when the gifted hatchlings fly, Call out to my eaglets, too late, alone, I lie, The seasons have overtaken me, Tis no time to say goodbye, And now I sing of my remorse, a regretful lullaby, Tis haunting me, that I did not see, until the stillness came to my eyes, Bear witness with your presence, to when the gifted hatchlings fly, The seasons have overtaken me, Tis no time to say goodbye.
