Be Still And Listen

Life is so active and fully fast
there doesn't seem to be time
nobody seems to push the brakes
especially when they just don't rhyme

One needs to just stop
be still and ponder it all
take in the moment at once
listen quietly to your call

Open to your inner voice
listen intently, not to be missed
be aware of every inner sound
hearing all this is utter bliss

Move yourself not even a little
be sure to remember all these days
what a picture this conveys
so peaceful and not even brittle

God speaks clearly 'be still'
to ponder afresh about the Lord
receive His peace and calm
reassuring you've hit the right chord

Dear Gordon, loved reading this lovely, uplifting poem. It’s so true that we all rush around and every now and then, we do need to be still and just listen to the inner sound. Thank you for the reminder. Really enjoyed reading this especially the last stanza. Hope you are well my friend. Blessings to you :)
