Be Quiet

be quiet

don't speak

because I know

you once did picked me

I am so hurt don't you see

why are you now leaving me?

be quiet

stand still

you know you left me

and went against my will.

as I wipe a tear off my cheek

it's you I will always seek.

be quiet

sit up straight

look at me right here

in my face,

can you hear the fast pace of my heart?

I am so upset, so where do I start.

be quiet

please sit down

I don't want you to ever to leave town,

once you said you love me

what has changed ?

now after a year of being married

and I took your last name.

be quiet

please hold me in your arms

maybe the smell of my perfume

and the touch of my skin

will help you remember where

our love first began.

be quiet

but go if you must

you know you was the only man

I could ever trust.

I wanted to be the one

to hopefully carry you a son.

be quiet

and get out of my face

there is no man who

could ever take your place.

Very nicely penned, Sharlotte! A scenario that is played out daily in every corner of the world throughout every culture and race...sadly!! :) john.

Very moving. Touching sentiments. Much sorrow for any reality in those words. Thanks for sharing!
