Be Not Afraid

Don't cover up youth
with make up lies
heart wants love
not fleeting desire
dress in modesty
concealing
not revealing
a bird song hidden
is far more intriguing.
Be not afraid
hard dreams embrace
heart will cry
unending
for what in fear
or laziness
was left untried.
Parents honor
if you cherish long life
only commandment
with a longevity promise.
Don't let the left know
what the right hand gives
love given out
returns multiplied
remembering in wealth
those who have less
without knowing it
in loving your neighbor
you are loving God
and yourself.
