Be Grateful Not Hateful For What You Have

It doesn't take much to find
You can leave troubles behind
If you look at what you've got
Don't complain of things you want
Remember there are others who
Have hard times making it through
Each day because they do not
Have the ability to start
Fixing their lives, it is wrong
They try to be really strong
Not complaining knowing they
Have to face each new day
With pain and sorrow, there's no choice
They don't yell or raise their voice
Even when they see those who
Don't suffer, having no clue
They're as lucky as can be
Living happy and care free
No disease to make them stay
Very ill from day to day
A warm roof above their head
Snuggled in a cozy bed
Not outside in a cold night
Suffering severe frost bite
Food is there at every meal
While others have to beg and steal
Hugs and kisses they don't know
Family isn't there to show
Runaways they are not worthless
Open your eyes for the goodness
Life is handing you and be
Grateful, not rude and greedy
Think of those who go without
You will see what life's about
