Be Certain of Me

BE      CERTAIN    OF     ME     



When  your soul  wanders  in shade            
And steps in danger,  don’t be  afraid.     
Look  for me in  dream-empty  places     
Where   you   find  no  known  faces                  
Know   that  you  will find   this guide.              
Know  that  I am  at your side                    


Don’t think of  me  always
Don’t  doubt, pause, question, faze.
Think of me when feeling small
Be certain,  I am  here,   tall.
If  they  forget,  reject   your  plea
I’m  still in  you,   you  in me


Hear  me in  your laughter bright
Feel  me  in  your   firelight
Reach for  me in  dark and  cold
My hand  is   always  warm   to hold
Sleep deep with me,  heart-warm -
Protection  sure from  the   storm


Wake up  looking in my eyes
See me here   in  your  sunrise
Hold my hand  and  I’ll  support
Take my arm and I’ll escort
If you fall,   I won’t fail                     
To save you.   Do not quail .
