Be blessed with health and grace
Be blessed with health and grace

There in the grass
A tiny bunny lay dying
He struggled with shallow breathing
He struggled to move from his side
I gave him cool water to soothe
I gave him shade and gentle care
I sat by his side and spoke softly
I let him know that his life was precious
No matter what I tried
He still struggled to recover
No emergency help was available
So I tried healing and love
We spent much time together
I protected him from all threats
But then nightfall came
I had to give him a chance to rest
So underneath a picnic table
In a bunny dugout that was empty
I gently settled him in quite safely
Gave him food and water and blessings
I admit I said many prayers
And asked the Angels to heal his being
But I don't know what the morning will bring
I don't know if he will survive the evening
But as much I believe in miracles
As much as I wish I could save all creatures
It's a harsh lesson I keep learning
That death is part of our life's features
So, tomorrow when the sun rises
I shall awake with renewed hope and faith
May he have hopped away to his home
And be blessed with health and grace
