Be a Blessing To Others

Be A Blessing to Others God does bless you, to bless others. It is not a gift for you to smother. How selfish we flawed humans can be. When all we think of is me, me, me! Like, “how can I be number one here?” Poets, stop…for yourself…only to cheer? Do you have a friend low on money? Then~ take her shopping: be a honey! Know anyone with a high electric bill? Help pay for some or all, give them a thrill! Please stop the talk about evil women or men! Bless many others with love, now and then. What about a poem with comments,few? The least of poets, are God’s children too! We are not sent here to be kings of poetry hill. It’s a selfish place, with an Arctic, lonely chill. Take the hand and heart, of a friend here. Be faithful to them, never causing one tear! 10/19/2022

Amen, this is great wisdom and knowledge, I know I am not a poet : ) I do not know what most of the styles are , but I do know the Lord has taken the thing I hated doing the worse which is, writing that I shall bring glory to him , I don't expect many comments I am not writing for the approval of this world, love and God bless you, and indeed how wonderful if one can walk out there door and see all as there brothers, sisters, mother and father's

But who is number one on here Pangie, does it even matter, not to me, some are actually so good they should be writing professionally, insofar as helping others with bills and shopping, they’re some of the good things people do, but never mention it on here as they seek no recognition, I wouldn’t read too much into the lists here, cheers David

Hello David! To some, being top poet matters, really! It’s just high geared competitiveness. Not all here are that way. Never mind lists,I strongly agree. The quality of a poem, matters more than the quantity. Agree also, that some here should be published! Fantastic souls bedecked in humility. I so appreciate your share, David. If you've not had the experience, try paying for the groceries of the person in front of you. See the look of absolute incomprehension... People are not accustomed to kindness and some balk when faced with it. Yet that is the pathway to changing our world, together. I love this poem!!!

Hello Michael! As poets, we can inspire others, what a gift…we have. There is no reason not to do an act of kindness, a mitzvot-for others. A simple phone call. A visit to the ill. Speaking with kindness to all, as you always do. Bless you… we can point fingers all day at evil! It all began when Adam and Eve were thrown out of Eden. So nothing new about that. Evil does exist but I am not run by it. We only have one life. I say, be good to others, even those who break your heart. Huggs, Pangie

Dear, Harry! It took me decades to get to this frame of mind. I have been blessed with mentors from all walks of life. I do not have a CNN mind spewing out negativity. People love blood, gore, death~ that makes news? Good people are not worthy to be on the news. Since time began, wars have been waged. I have been beaten by students,shot at and almost set on fire. So what? I just kept going. I totally refuse to be a victim! Oskar Schindler is one of my heros. He saved thousands of Jews as you know! Then at end of WWII, cried because he did not save enough?know anyone like him? No, so busy people are looking for sinners, not saints. Afraid to Speak truth. The murder of infants? By women, not Putin…women outdo him. I just thank my mentors, or I would be negative too. I will not listen to the lies spread about the globe. People like you, Harry are my reward!
