Battling Loneliness

Loneliness can happen to us all
 no matter our particular situation
 we can feel so alone
 even in a crowded occasion

Many years ago in my early twenties
being a loner has not a friend
a single child with no siblings
 will this ever end?

 Many negative thoughts are born
 what's point of carrying on?
 having stuttering block as well
 sometimes wishing I was gone

 Slowly and surely I survived
through friend's God sent to me
but the most important of all
 God's truth set me free

 Telling of Jesus great love
Christ having died in my place
 being alone on the cross
Jesus dealt with all of my case

 Now living free in Christ
He is my friend so complete
nothing can take away His presence
when I bow at His feet

The poem paints the picture of loneliness really well and the religious aspect made it really personal. Brought a tear to my eyes.Best wishes Linda x
