Battles

How will I fight this battle?
I am alone and surrounded
And it’s not like I have been unfaithful

Someone help me, I’m doubtful
Because I cannot win this alone
How will I fight this battle?

I’m losing in my mind with the devil
For there is one who remains unforgiven
And it’s not like I have been unfaithful.

Why does fighting like this end up fatal?
Why do these battles kill us inside?
How will I fight this battle?

Just when I think I’m beginning to become graceful,
The worst of it all dawns on me
And it’s not like I have been unfaithful

Why does giving up seem more gentle?
I cannot mentally fight this battle anymore.
How will I fight this battle?
And it’s not like I have been unfaithful.
