Battle Within

chains of burden weigh me down.
though they cannot be seen.
they do not clink and clatter, they do not make a sound.
they are invisable to all, they belong to me.
the burden is dead weight.
i buckle not.
i heave and keep going straight.
i will not let them over come me.
i carry on and go about.
but my chains aren't keeping me in,
they're keeping me out.
cut the chains and break free,
this is not an choice.
as much as i want to, they are bound to me.
they're drowning me slowly, i can't even hear my own voice.
keep going strong, don't let them win.
i'm fighting an invisable battle.
a battle within.
