Bathroom Break
The captain got up – to the co-pilot said
You take control and I’ll hit the head
The plane was in holding – just waiting to land
But the pilot was gone much longer than planned
Then a knock on the door and a password repeated
By a man with an accent that should have been seated
The co-pilot called in to the guys on the ground
Said the pilot’s gone back and now he can’t be found
Then the man with the accent said he’s locked in the loo
He gave me the password and said come get you
The co-pilot said I won’t open the door
And the guys on the ground said don’t say any more
We’ll scramble the jets just in case there’s a need
And get you to land with the greatest of speed
And then from the cockpit a new voice was heard
I’m the captain, I’m all right, and I give you my word
I was back in the john and the door handle broke
I pushed and I shoved till I broke out – no joke
And the man with the accent just tried to help out
He came to my aid when he first heard me shout
So unscramble those jets, there’s no problem up here
We’re safe and secure and there’s nothing to fear
So just let us land, get this plane on the ground
This is one bathroom break I will never live down
