Basant Panchami

Basant Panchami

Yellows bloom in exotic flair,
Spring tiptoes through the scented air;
Fields tinged in mustard hue,
Dreams afresh, the sky seems new.

The Veena hums where wisdom sleeps,
Ma Saraswati’s blessings our conscious keeps;
From winter’s hush, all hearts awaken,
Do-nothingness fades, hope is taken.

In tender petals, smiles light once forlorn,
Basant arrives, the soul reborn.
